Thank You!!
Now THAT is what we call a PROM!!
What a great time we had last night at the 2008 Philly Zombie Prom - thanks to the hundreds upon hundreds of beautiful undead that came out to celebrate the start of another Halloween season in Philadelphia!
We'll be uploading the official prom photos in a couple of days - just check out the MEDIA tab at the top in about a week for the collection and feel free to download your favorite images and spread the zombie love!
Special thanks to the incredible Make-Up artists from Terror Behind The Walls, as well as our resident evil artist Brooke Dorothy! Also, thanks to our resident Zombie Prom photographer Spark Wilkens for his time and talent! Additional thanks to Masquerade for helping us transform the Trocadero into the most beloved hall of darkness and to the Trocadero itself - for understanding that there is more to nightlife then your typical parties ... they have welcomed the underworld and we are eternally grateful!
Of course a prom wouldn't be complete without music - so thanks to both Live Not On Evil and The Young Werewolves for their blistering sets of rock-n-roll! Also, thanks to DJ Kiltboy who kept things in groove up in the Balcony Bar.
And a special spooky bouquet of kisses to the legendary Henri David for joining us to help officially welcome in the start of the Halloween Season in Philadelphia!
Finally - thanks to you; the zombies of the region! Each time a Philly Zombie Crawl event rolls around; be it a Prom or our Easter Crawl - we see the joy, the excitement and most of all, the passion for zombie love! We're grateful most of all for your continued support and remember...
Easter is only six months away!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The 2008 Zombie Prom Countdown
Hi Boils and Ghouls - -
Well, the advance planning and marketing for the 2008 Philly Zombie Prom is underway! Over the next few weeks we hope you will assist us is spreading the zombie love to all those cool undead friends you have by letting them know that the place to be September 28th is The Trocadero!
If you went last year, you're well aware of just how much f'n fun the Philly Zombie Prom can be! This year we have added just a bit more to the mix;
We had over 600 zombies in attendance last year - to give us all some breathing room, we are opening up the Balcony Bar and seating - -and if you need help creating your zombie face, the uber talented make up artists from Terror Behind The Walls will once again be on site to transform you into your best undead beauty! Faces are $10 and up, depending on how much creative design you crave! We will have four make-up stations this year; one as soon as you enter The Troc and three more upstairs in the Balcony Bar; and while you wait for your ghoulish turn in the chair, the bar will be open to whet your whistle and DJ Kiltboy will be spinning tunes from the dark side!
Also, the Balcony seating will be open all night - 'cause what's a prom without a dark spot for those impromptu make-out sessions, right?!
Downstairs our trusty Prom Photographer Spark will once again be taking your official prom photos (for free!) - which will then be posted on this site for viewing and downloading. Also our official Philly Zombie Crawl Photographer Diable will be on site doing his black magic through the night ... additionally, expect other media in the house - so be sure to look your best!
Both DJ Robert Drake and Dave Ghoul will spin evil musical madness from 8-10pm followed by a live performance from Live Not On Evil and then The Young Werewolves... expect two blistering sets rock and roll!
A new addition is one that we're quite excited about, but first some back story:
When we created the Philly Zombie Prom, our hope was to bring together all the various Halloween elements in Philadelphia under one communal roof to celebrate the beginning of the Halloween Season (which by most standards is October 1st).
This year we are humbled to have Mr. Halloween himself - Henri David - join us on the main stage to strike the gong and officially welcome the Halloween Season to Philadelphia. Like Santa arriving in the Thanksgiving Day Parade, this hopes to become a true Philadelphia Halloween tradition - so don't miss it!!
At midnight Philly Zombie Prom co-hostess Melissa Torre will join us to crown the Zombie King and Queen of Philadelphia - as well as announce the costume winners - then it's dancing until closing!
Now, in preparation for the Prom, be sure to take advantage of some great savings; first off - visit our Prom Details page by clicking the tab above - and print out the Halloween Masquerade Superstore coupon - then go shop for all your ghoulish needs at their store on Columbus Blvd near Washington Ave and present the coupon at check out to save 15% off your entire purchase!!
Also - if you're searching for some quality thrift wear to doctor up for the big night - stop by Philly AIDS Thrift (on the 500 block of Bainbridge) and simply mention the 'Zombie Prom' at check-out and they'll take 15% off your entire purchase as well!
Finally, if you're searching for a sweet vintage tux, visit Sazz Vintage Clothing in Old City (38 N 3rd) - mention the Zombie Prom and get 15% off!
